The Enquiry

Once you submit an enquiry with One Six Events, a member of our team will be in touch to provide a fully itemised quotation covering everything you’ve requested, along with any additional items or options we feel may be useful.

Alongside your quotation, we’ll supply layouts, brochures, and imagery to clearly illustrate what has been included. This information is usually sent by email; however, in many cases a follow-up phone call is helpful to discuss the details in full and ensure nothing is overlooked.

The Phone Call

We will arrange a phone call to run through all of the information we’ve sent, ensuring it is accurate and aligns with what you’re hoping for. This allows us to identify whether any details need amending, items added, or elements removed.

Often, the initial quotation raises further questions or reminds you of additional aspects you may wish to include. During this call, it can also be useful to review practical details—such as exact placement—sometimes using online maps, to ensure the quotation is as accurate as possible from the outset. We will then update anything accordingly and send across to you.

The Site Visit

A site visit is a vital cog in the wheel and allows us to go through everything in detail and in person. Wherever possible, we prefer to meet on site, although we’re also happy to meet at our office. An office visit can be helpful as it allows us to show you the equipment; however, a site visit will still be required.

The site visit is essential for several reasons: it ensures there are no surprises later on and confirms there is sufficient space for the marquee, toilets, catering tents, generators, and that everything can be positioned effectively and aesthetically for your event.

We will mark out the exact dimensions of the marquee on the ground so you can clearly see its scale and layout—working out dining areas, dance floors, and other key zones. This, combined with photos and discussion, helps bring the entire setup to life and ensures everything works seamlessly.

The site visit is just as beneficial for you as it is for us. Following this, we’ll produce detailed site plans so our teams know exactly where everything is going. We want the event to run as smoothly—if not more so—than you do.

The Event

Following the site visit and once your booking is confirmed, we’re always available to answer questions or discuss any changes. That said, there is usually very little required until closer to the event—around six weeks beforehand.

At this stage, we’ll be in touch to confirm final guest numbers, check whether anything has changed, update layouts if required, and ensure we are fully prepared for the big day. We’ll also confirm the setup and takedown dates at this point.

On the setup day, our team will arrive as planned and run through everything with you for sign-off. We want you to be just as happy with the final result as we are

Absolutely fabulous company! We hired a marquee for an Aprés Ski themed party and it did not disappoint ! Freddie and his team were super efficient and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. We were delighted with One Six Events, from the moment Freddie arrived at our house and caught sight of the challenges we faced with our sloping garden on three levels - he rose to the challenge and set to advising us the best options for our marquee set up.

It turned out all we would need were extendable legs on the bank incorporating our raised bed inside the marquee and running the 15 metre tent along our patio.

It was an absolute triumph and we hosted 100 friends inside a fabulous tent with an Autumnal theme.

Freddie’s team were great setting up and setting down and nothing was too much trouble , even when we rang at the eleventh hour pleading for extra carpet matting to cover our patio - Freddie pulled out all the stops to source it and when we realised it was too big to fit in our car, he arranged delivery. We were very grateful.

One Six Events are brilliant, professional, friendly, efficient and competitively priced. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a marquee. “

I cannot recommend One Six Events enough! They provided the marquee for our wedding as well as most of the other elements to make our reception unforgettable. Freddie and his team were brilliant from start to finish. Professional, quick and efficient. They advised us on all the elements needed included the generator. They also had the tables and beautiful chairs. They also advised on the size of the stage and dancefloor which they also provided.

Best Marquee company i have ever worked with.

We got married back in August, and were suggested One Six Events from the land owner where we had our reception. Best advise we ever took.

From the get go, Freddie and his team were responsive, polite and helpful when it came to designing our wedding. Helping us work towards our budget whilst bringing our vision to life.

We went for a traditional pole tent, catering for 160 people and it came out nothing less than outstanding. Our aim for to have a mini festival, and guests were blown away by the what the team had created.

The whole team who set up and broke down were a pleasure to work with, coming with nothing but solution based thinking and positive attitude. It was refreshing to work with a vendor who you can tell genuinely loves what they do.

Cherry on the cake... i actually booked it for the wrong weekend which i only realised a week out. Considering this would give most people a near heart attack (myself being the main casualty), Freddie and the team worked with us to rectify my mistake with nothing but a calm and collected approach. With pretty much no compromising our original plan. Pretty incredible, as a lot of vendors could had told me to jog on in which case i might not have ended up with a wife. They saved my marriage before i got married!

So, apologies again Freddie! But a massive thanks to you, Rich and the whole team for being nothing but amazing.

We used One Six Events for the marquee at our wedding, and Freddie and his team were brilliant from start to finish. Freddie came to recce our garden and gave us really helpful advice on how to fit the marquee in the best way. He was transparent with costs and even advised us when he didn’t think we needed something (like a generator), which we really appreciated.

We decided to keep things simple with no flooring and just grass, and Freddie was totally supportive of this choice - there was no pressure or upselling, which made the process stress-free. On the day, the marquee looked stunning and we couldn’t have been happier with the result. The team who came to set up were efficient, professional, and a pleasure to deal with.

The tables and chairs provided were excellent quality and looked lovely in the space. We would definitely recommend One Six Events to anyone planning a wedding or event, and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.
